Gay friendly hotels are often sought out by gay couples or families when traveling for business or on vacation. These hotels are designed to meet the needs of the gay and lesbian traveler, and are often preferred to a traditional hotel. With such hotels being located in most major cities, finding one is not usually that difficult.

It is important to remember that not all gay friendly hotels are the same. A simple non-discrimination policy does not a gay hotel make. Often, a quality hotel will go out of their way to train employees to be sensitive to the needs of their gay clientele.
