They can often point out the best gay-friendly night spots and restaurants in the surrounding area. They can also be a great source of information about other local sites that can be of interest, such as museums and concert venues.

Gay hotels are often very artistic in their design and layout. They often include wall paintings and other pieces of art created by local gay and lesbian artists. Rooms can be quite opulent, with some featuring marble bathrooms and impeccably restored antique furniture.
